Taiwan Hsin-Kang Mahi-Mahi FIP was initiated by Hsin-Kang Fishermen Association, processing industry and frozen seafood industry in June 2015, followed by the participations from Su-Ao Fishermen Association and Tung-Kang Fishermen Association in 2016. The objective of the FIP is to conserve the resources of mahi mahi that has an influence on fishermen’s livelihoods, in order to ensure the sustainable development of mahi mahi fishery and work towards Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification by 2025. |
